Zoltán Boros obtained his chemical engineering master’s degree from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2010. After finishing the George A. Oláh Doctoral School of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in 2013, he was working as research fellow of the Bioorganic Chemistry Research Group of Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology, BUTE. He joined to H-ION as the Head of Chemistry in 2015.

He has numerous patents, book chapters, lecture notes and research articles in the field of organic chemistry, applied biotechnology and chemical reactor design. He is member of Flow Chemistry Society, COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action “Systems Biocatalysis” Working Group 5 (Process Intensification) and former COST Action ”Cascade Chemoenzymatic Processes – New Synergies Between Chemistry and Biochemistry”.
